ahhhhhhh to be 39 again . . . my sister Shireen will turn 39 tomorrow - my mom made a family favorite, checkerboard cake - all from scratch.

airport virgin no more!!!

my beloved took his first trip to the airport since receiving his green card!  this is the face of a man who feels confident anywhere!  we went to pick up our darlings, Jessica and Nate coming in from Hawaii, lucky dawgs!

Sacrifice

My beloved hates the cold weather.  He is South Indian, can you blame him?  But every morning, he runs outside to scrape my windows and warm my car, and this morning wearing his coat and a towel, was no exception!  Now that is love.
