Beads and Beehives

In the LDS church we have a young womens program for teens and the 12 to 13-year old girls are called Beehives.  My friend Barb asked me to help her class make bracelets and what a time we had!  Here are the results and note:  one of the girls took these pictures with my phone - not bad!

you say tomato, I say eyelid

as I was heading out the door this morning, my darling asked if I knew where his scale could be?  I was thinking he wanted to weigh something while cooking, but no, he wanted to scratch his back while I am not there to do it for him (quizzical look emoticon here).  I showed him the scales we have in the kitchen and he would have none of them.  Finally the light went on - he was looking for a RULER!

lost in translation

my precious Indian husband is recovering from a broken ankle.  he was rescuing our front porch from starring on the next episode of HOARDERS and fell with a mighty crack.  this morning I saw him sneakily crossing his legs on the sofa and I shrieked, "don't sit Indian style"!  he looked up guiltily and said, how should I sit?

we say farewell

we said good-bye to our good friend Sandeep - he is headed back to India, but he will return to these shores again, I just know he will.  he is off to his next adventure . . . .bye Indian son

your brother in hats

my beloved loves hats, not all hats, just certain types.  he won't wear baseball caps, truck driver caps, cowboy hats, driving caps, Austrian alps yodeler hats (think Captain Von Trapp, "So Long, Farewell"), tri corn hats, Wee Willie Winkie night caps, ( a little night before Christmas here), do-rag, kerchiefs, Peruvian knitted caps, Elmer Fudd flap caps, Bolivian Bowlers, top hats . . . do you wear hats?
